This is a solid dive bar.

We stopped in for some afternoon drinks. Joe was a great bartender, very friendly and social. AND the prices there cannot be beat! Try it once and see if you have as much fun as we had.

My favorite bar in Charleston. Can't believe it has taken me this long to review. Shame on me.

Even now, after Charleston has successfully made it through puberty as a city, the drink prices are still cheap, service is friendly and awesome, and the food is surprisingly good. You order food at the bar, btw, then they give you a number on your receipt and you wait for it to be displayed on a screen.

ACs is a dive bar, but it attracts all types of folks and is always a good time.

If you are looking for best (or perhaps worst) Dive bar. This is it. I mean where else can you get a PBR for $2?  But the why the 1 Star?  Well anyplace that sells drinks or food or anything you consume - hell anyplace humans go to -- that has restrooms so disgusting - should be closed by the health dept.

I am far from a prude - but seriously disgusting.

I'm a regular lunch patron, I either call ahead for carryout or if I need a break from the office, I'll stay to eat. Burgers can't be beat for the price. Great portions of Nachos also. Salads are basic fare but the seasoned grilled chicken included is delicious.

It's a bar. It looks, sounds, smells and feels like a bar. Deal with it.

Try the Death Burger if you like things hot.

Great burgers for a little hole in the wall type of bar. We went during lunch on a weekday. There was one bartender and we ordered our food with him. Bartender was super nice I didn't catch his name. Food was amazing and super cheap! We ordered nachos and two burgers cost $30. Didn't drink just bc we came here more for the food. Our tour guide Todd from our walking tour recommended this place. The burgers were huge! And flavorful. The nachos had homemade chili. Only thing I didn't like was that this place was a little dirty. The floors and bathrooms need some work. But the food did not disappoint!
